Matt was born and raised in Oamaru, where he was educated at Waitaki Boys before completing a Bachelor of Arts degree at Otago University. Following completion of his University Degree, Matt started in the Insurance Industry as a claims consultant for Vero Insurance, going on to manage a claims team. The time spent in these roles has built the foundations for Matt’s passion of continual improvement and customer service.

Deciding he needed a new challenge, Matt switched to a Broking position in 2011, building a comprehensive portfolio of clients in the commercial, corporate, industrial and technology sectors. He enjoys building long standing client relationships and becoming a key advisor to your business operations.

Through his passion for servicing his clientele, Matt has been recognised as an emerging talent in the insurance industry whilst in Australia, with his selection for the highly sought after Allianz Blue Eagle and QBE Equip training programs. Matt holds a Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification, Level 5 Certificate in Insurance Services and is an Associate CIP of ANZIIF.

Outside of Insurance, Matt and his wife Krystle are kept busy with their two young children. If he does get spare time Matt enjoys all sports and taking in the outdoor activities available in Queenstown and enjoying socialising over a coffee or a drink at the many fabulous establishments Central Otago has to offer.
